Proposition 65 Warning
In 1986, California voters approved an initiative to address their growing concerns about exposure to toxic chemicals. That initiative became the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, better known by its original name of Proposition 65. Proposition 65 requires the State to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 800 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.
Proposition 65 requires businesses to notify Californians about significant amounts of chemicals in the products they purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By providing this information, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about protecting themselves from exposure to these chemicals. Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program. OEHHA, which is part of the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA), also evaluates all currently available scientific information on substances considered for placement on the Proposition 65 list.
In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.

Hakko FT-720
The FT-720 is equipped with long-life fluoroplastic brushes that minimize the temperature drop of soldering iron. The brushes are easy to remove and replace, with optional resin and metal cleaning brushes available.
The sensor on FT-720 has covers that are easy to remove, clean, and replace, maximizing the life of the sensor. The front opening of the FT-720 has a removable adjuster to accommodate a variety of tip shapes. The housing is ESD-safe and can be mounted to existing FH-200 iron holders in place of the sponge/tip cleaner tray.

Not useless but very close.

As is, this is a product that really just doesn't work. The main issue is the brushes that are used - they are simply too soft to do an effective job of cleaning an iron tip. Had they been made of brass or something similar it would a completely different story, but as is the soft brushed included are just not helpful.TEquipment Response: Thank you Harold for taking the time to write this review to give your feedback. Fairly simple, but seems to work

The unit works, but seems a little "cheap" for what it is. The open unit has exposed wiring when open for cleaning and there is no guide on how to mount it to an iron holder. I used the screws from the existing sponge tray to go into the slots on the side of the unit.
