HT Instruments Solar IV W R Multifunction I-V Curve Tracer (1000V/15A) Unit Only for Upgrades
Measurement of efficiency of a single-phase photovoltaic system
- Measurement of efficiency of a single-phase photovoltaic system
- Measurement of I-V Curve of a module or of a string up to 1000V/15A
- Measurement of open-circuit voltage of a module or of a string (VOC)
- Measurement of short-circuit current of a module or of a string (ISC)
Multifunction device for tests and maintenance on single-phase installations
SOLAR I-V allows both testing a single-phase (three-phase with optional MPP300) photovoltaic system and verifying I-V curve. Thanks to remote unit SOLAR02, it is possible to test the system complying with the requirement of simultaneity as provided for by the reference standard. SOLAR02 is a datalogger which, synchronized with SOLAR I-V, acquires the data relevant to irradiation and temperature while tests carried out by SOLAR I-V are carried out.
For measuring I-V curve, SOLAR I-V manages an internal database of the modules, which can be updated at any time by the user by comparing the measured data with the rated values, thus allowing the immediate evaluation whether the string or the module fulfills the efficiency parameters declared by the manufacturer. Current and voltage measurement at modules/strings output is measured with the 4-terminal method, which allows extending possible measuring cables without considering any compensation of their resistance, thus obtaining always precise measurements. At the end of the test, the display of I-V curve on the screen is a clear indication about the compliance with the specifications declared by the panel manufacturer.
Easy identification of problems on systems which are not complying with the specifications declared by the manufacturer.
SOLAR I-V measures the efficiency of single-phase PV systems and also measures the I-V characteristic both of a single module and of module strings on PV plants (up to a maximum of 1000V and 10A).
Remote irradiation and temperature measurement
Irradiation and temperature measurements play an essential role for extrapolation of the I-V characteristic under standard test conditions. SOLAR I-V carries out such measurements directly or under remote mode through the unit SOLAR-02, synchronized with main unit. SOLAR I-V can effect measurements at the inverter, while SOLAR-02 simultaneously detects environmental values close to modules without using long cable extensions.
No more wasting time. It contemporarily carries out tests/recordings of 3 PV arrays.
SOLAR I-V can be interfaced with optional accessory MPP300 capable of carrying out simultaneoulsy tests and recordings on max 3 separate arrays, typical of multi-MPPT systems and multi-inverter systems (with MPP300).
Testing outcome: OK or NOT OK
SOLAR I-V compares the measured values with the values declared by the module manufacturer, immediately providing the test result.
