About
HT Instruments
The Future Starts Here
HT is a privately held family business, founded in 1983. HT strives to design individual instruments with multiple functions. The use of GUI Interfaces, Bluetooth, USB and Top View software (used throughout the HT Product Line) provide the user with seamless access to data in the multiple formats needed by professional technicians today. HT offers all its products with extensive warranties at very competitive prices. The company currently operates out of an ISO:9001 manufacturing facility located in Faenza, Italy.
During its early years, the company focused mainly on distributing test equipment, clamp-on meters and DMMs. However, the company became unhappy with the quality and design of offshore manufacturing. As a result, in 1992 HT began designing and building its own instruments out of experiences and ideas gained over the years.
The first instrument HT ever manufactured in-house was the MASTER HT2031. At that time no competitor could offer a product which performed safety testing on installations and simultaneously printed a professional report via a built-in printer. As a result of this product’s success, HT formed its own R&D department. This choice represented a turning point for the company as it began using its own skilled staff in product design.
For HT, the innovations continued from this point. In 1996 the FULLTEST HT2036 was developed - the only instrument on the market at the time capable of testing safety conditions on equipment and electrical panels.
In 1999, HT launched GENIUS 5080, the first instrument on the market combining electrical safety testing with power analysis. This type of product placed HT near the top of the market among its competitors and paved the way for the growth of HT’s multifunction tester product line.
These innovations only continued after the turn of the century, with the 2000 Series electrical safety and compliance testers launched in 2000 and the GSC Series launched in 2001. The GSC Series was the first instrument series on the market which combined electrical safety testing with single- and three-phase PQ analysis and is still a big part of HT’s product line today.
In recent years HT has designed and manufactured the ZG47 multi-function tester for power analysis via Bluetooth. HT has also recently introduced the 9000 Series clamp meters, offering the market a whole range of models including professional true RMS clamp meters capable of power and harmonic measurement, engine starting current measurement, data logging, and Bluetooth connectivity. HT has also recently released a range of solar installation test instruments. These instruments allow users to perform power analyses in compliance with standards as well as take measurements of the I-V characteristics of modules or strings.
Today, HT Instruments continues to push the industry forward through consistent innovation, customer feedback, and a strong product line which is constantly updated.
