As a lineman this is by far the best purchase I have ever made it can tell you from the ground on a 45 ft pole if the line is hot so just knowing that at night when you are walking the lines out in backyards let's you know if and voltage is hot so no change of you grabbing a gate to get in the backyard at it being hot from downed lines our company as recently bought us all these just so we can go home at the end of the day
