The DigiVolt-5000V is a compact digital voltmeter and phasing instrument designed to measure voltages from 10 Volts up to 5,000 Volts. The DVM-5000V can be used on secondary and primary voltage systems. The two-stick design allows accurate, low voltage measurements to be taken beyond the arc flash exposure distances required by NFPA 70E Standards, when used with the required applicable length hotsticks. To comply with OSHA standards for testing the voltmeter on a known voltage source before and after each use - as stated in CFR 1910.133, Section (b) (2) (iv) (B) - the PT-500 Voltmeter Proof Testeris available (sold separately). The DVM-5000V can be used in both overhead and underground applications. The digital meter displays 4-digits,showing the true RMS voltage on the conductor. No decimal points show on the display, only the voltage reading. For example, while measuring 240 VAC the display will read "0240", where 4kV will be displayed as "4000". Fixed contact probes on the end of each stick allow for direct contact voltage measurements.
