Very useful tool; obviously not the best for accurate voltae measurement.

Works as advertised. Voltage measurement is obviously not as precise as using test leads, but this certainly has it's place. Glad I bought it, but perhaps a bit pricey for what it does

Great product, sturdy and easy to use. Wish they gave alligator clamps with it instead of charging separately for them. Have got accurate readings for both low voltage and line voltage two phase and three phase.

How awesome! I get to pay a lot more for the T5 for a completely unnecessary gimmick. The only disappointment is that I can't pay more for this MADE IN CHINA product. Fluke... you're the greatest. :)

Let's see, a multimeter that takes inaccurate non-contact voltage readings. That's the only selling point for this $200 dollar plus tool. Only you either have to contact one lead to ground, or YOU are the ground so you can't wear OSHA required PPE to use that feature. This tool is for when you don't really need to know the actual voltage you are reading, Sound like a big FAIL to me. I'll pass. Way to go fluke.

It will not measure phase to phase voltage
only phase to ground
any motor work you need to use the test leads to measure proper voltage
it dose not tell you this in the description
so the open jaw voltage measurement is bunk
as far as I am concern save you money on this one
I am a big fluke fan too

Nice meter for quick troubleshooting

I have had a few days now to use my new Fluke T6-1000 and I'm pleased with its performance. For troubleshooting circuits it is fast and reasonably accurate at locating or verifying live circuits, the voltage and current flow. It really does save having to bend wires around to find an exposed screw on a breaker, etc. to measure voltage and it eliminates the need to keep switching back and forth from a voltmeter function to a current meter function. The biggest problem that I would like to see fixed is that the wire has to be all the way down in the throat for a good reading and sometimes the wiring is just too tight or in a bundle which prevents that from being easily done.

This is exactly the meter you want to help identify wiring in a connection cabinet. You do not have to worry about exposed wiring so it is much safer. Don't expect a perfect voltage reading but you will get a good indication on the nominal voltage level. Probably will not use the grounding button on the back as you normally want to have on the proper PPE.

I used a T5 for years as a tool pouch meter, I love this new meter for day to day task. Having a back lit screen is great. the fieldsense works great. I would have gave it a 5 star, but it is hard to use the feildsense in a tight area. Even at that it is a value and a great addition to my flue meter collection. It has become my go to on the go meter in it's short time in my tool box.
