This connector is a welcomed addition to my Fluke, is it required no, until you need to be able to remotely monitor a circuit, then this device pays for its self in reduction of frustration connecting the leads and maintaining the screen and your body in a way that allows to you read out the measurements.

cannot be used to download logged data from a 287/289 mulitmeter. The only thing you can do is display what is currently on the screen with Fluke Connect. Totally worthless - I returned it and bought the cable with fluke view basic

Great Addition for a Fluke 289

I use this as a troubleshooting tool for electrical work on aircraft. It allows me to remotely check changes when the switch and what the switch controls are far apart by myself. The only issue I've seen with this in aircraft work is that the Bluetooth signal won't go through the aircraft skin if the doors are closed. This is a great tool.

When I purchased the product, TEquipment let me know that there was about a four month delay in the delivery of the product. They also let me know when there was a schedule change in the delivery and kept me up to date using regular updates on when the delivery was.

The product works as advertised on the website. I have found it to be useful to calibrate instruments and checking inputs to PLCs, etc and having a second person verify the information using the app on his Android cell phone. If you are looking for good documentation on how the product works, it is non existant.

Fairly simple to use, with a brief run through the instructions. Comes with batteries preinstalled which is a nice touch. It does add some bulk to an already bulky meter, but it works as advertised.

I also have a Fluke 287 and the ir3000 FC would communicate but the value would stay "0" regardless of what the meter was displaying. After two calls with Fluke tech support they are sending me a new one. They don't even want the defective one back.
All my other Fluke Connect items work great.

I really am enjoying the fluke connect. Easier to capture readings, for me anyways. Haven't set up contacts feature yet. I have a Fluke 287 meter I am using it with. I was having a problem connecting to my iPhone so after first having it replaced by TEquipment, still same problem. I called Fluke and they had informed me of problem with the connection to that meter and sent out another, newer version at no charge. Thank you Fluke and TE.
