Troubleshooting Kit
This kit contains three compact tools that are indispensable at a customer site for installing and troubleshooting 3-phase motors and drives. Supplied in a storage case, this kit includes the MG300 13 Function, Wireless, True RMS Multimeter/Insulation Tester with 1000-volt test voltage and 4000 MΩ range; 480403 Motor Rotation and 3-Phase Tester, which checks phase sequence and indicates rotation direction of the motor; and MA430T 400A True RMS AC Clamp Meter with built-in non-contact voltage detector, which is ideal for noisy or non-sinusoidal AC measurement.
MG300 Features Overview
The MG300 is a True RMS multimeter that incorporates a digital insulation resistance tester (or megohmmeter) with four different test voltages for measuring resistance up to 4 GΩ with 0.001 MΩ resolution, and duty cycle measurements and milliamp readings for analog 4-20 mA current loops in industrial analog process controls. The MG300 also has built-in wireless data recording for safer troubleshooting and maintenance on moving equipment, one-person operation of remote safety switches, and the ability to monitor real-time readings on a laptop or computer screen from safe distances — up to 30 feet away — to detect intermittent anomalies.
480403 Features Overview
This Phase Sequence and Motor Rotation Tester has a 40 to 600 volt rated range for testing the phase orientation of 3-phase power sources over a 2 to 400 Hz frequency range. The LEDs indicate phase orientation — clockwise or counter-clockwise — and whether each of the phases is live. Also, the 480403 indicates rotation direction of the motor to ensure that it doesn't get damaged from incorrect wiring. The meter comes complete with cable and three large color coded alligator clips, pouch case, and 9-volt battery.
MA430T Features Overview
The MA430T is a compact 400 amp AC clamp meter that enables users to take measurements in tight spaces while offering an ample 1.2-inch (30mm) jaw opening to accommodate conductors up to 350 MCM. The MA430T also features: True RMS for better accuracy when measuring distorted waveforms; a large four-digit readout and illuminated display that enhances viewing in poorly lit work areas; and a thumb-dial selector that facilitates convenient, one-handed operation. The MA430T’s multimeter functions include: AC/DC voltage, resistance, diode and continuity. Also built into the MA430T is the non-contact voltage (NCV) detector. Eliminating the need for a separate tester, the NCV detector uses a red LED to alert users to the presence of voltage on live wires. Additional features include: backlit LCD display, data hold, auto power off and low battery indication.
