The Extech RF15 Portable Sucrose Brix Refractometer (0 to 32%) with ATC is very easy to operate and will provide users with extremely precise and repeatable measurements when measuring the concentration of sugar in fruit juice and other beverages, as well as industrial fluids like lubricants and antifreeze, time and time again. As well as being consistently accurate, the refractometer displays its results on simple to read scales through an eyepiece.
The process of using the Portable Sucrose Brix Refractometer is very straightforward and the automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from 10 to 30°C will ensure that users take delivery of exact and reliable results. Temperature control is very important when taking these refractometer measurements and without ATC, errors more often than not can occur, so by having ATC, it helps to ensure that such errors are avoided when using the refractometer.
All it takes to use the refractometer is a few drops of the solution that needs to be tested, spread across the measurement prism. A light source is then needed in order to view the solution placed on the prism and then a reading can be taken through the eyepiece lens. The lens has a simple focus adjustment function, in order to ensure users can view the readings as clearly as possible. The portable refractometer will then measure what the concentration of sugar is in the tested solution, from 0 to 32-Per cent Brix, with a maximum resolution of 0.2- Per cent Brix.
The RF15 Refractometer comes with a carry case, a plastic pipette for testing solutions, as well as a calibration solution and a calibration screwdriver and the Refractometer’s compact size, at 159 x 35 x 35 mm and 200 g, makes it very easy to carry around whether testing in the field or in a lab.
