Extech PS101 Differential Pressure Manometer (1 PSI)
Take the Pressure off Differential Pressure Testing
Extech’s PS101 differential pressure manometers make it simpler than ever to test changes in pressure in a range of job settings from everyday use in the field inside the tool bucket of an HVAC/Mechanical contractor to high precision demands of a lab / R&D setting.
Spotlight on HVAC/R & Mechanical Contractors
HVAC technicians can leave the water tubes on the truck. Instead, they are using Extech “2-port” manometers to traverse a duct without a second person. Users also test pressure-drop before and after filters to determine if a new filter is needed, or in some cases, check if a high MERV rating filter is compromising airflow for the sake of filtration.
From residential to industrial job sites, installation and repairs of boilers and furnaces requires testing and adjustment of equipment such as regulators and pressure switches. The Extech manometers make it easy to perform static readings across regulator valves when adjusting water column for example. A bright backlit display makes it easy to see readings on job sites that are dark more of than not.
Plant & Predictive Maintenance
Manufacturing facilities that rely on pneumatic controls and pressurized equipment use Extech differential manometers to troubleshoot sensitive controls that can cause costly downtime.
Automotive
Evaporator system troubleshooting is dramatically simpler when using an Extech 2-port differential manometer. Quickly find problems hidden in vacuum lines.
Clean Rooms in Precision Manufacturing & Compounding Pharmacies
Operating clean rooms demands very high attention to predictive maintenance so that positive pressure systems never fail at critical times during manufacturing hours. Using a handheld differential manometer from Extech enables technicians to quickly test and troubleshoot facilities throughout a site for accurate pressure settings.
More In-Depth
Extech offers a PS101 differential pressure manometer with ±1psi measurement range (as well as a PS106 for applications that require a broader ±6psi range). In addition to psi, users can select 10 other measurement units: in Hg; ft H2O; in H2O; oz in²; bar; kPA; mbar; kg cm²; mm H2O; mm Hg. For job sites where many readings are taken, the meter allows users to manually store and recall 99 readings. For quick troubleshooting of abnormal conditions, the meters log Max/Min values and feature a relative mode, zero-out function, time stamp and data hold, not to mention automatic-power-off to save battery life. The large display is easy to ready and illuminates with backlighting for easy reading regardless of lighting conditions.
Applications for the Extech PS101 Differential Pressure Manometer include:
- HVAC: Pressure drop at filters and pressure loss in ducts
- Testing pneumatic controls and pressurized equipment in manufacturing
- Clean rooms and medical equipment
- Testing and adjusting regulators
- Positive pressure testing in clean rooms & operating rooms
- Boiler installation and gas furnace pressure switch testing
