Worst piece of test equipment I have ever used

The SBS-4815CT is the single worst piece of test equipment I have ever used in 15 years as an electrical engineer. My time and money would have been better spent developing my own battery test fixture using a standard programmable load and a desktop computer. Please do not make the same mistake as I did, as the manufacturer does not accept returns under any circumstances. The user interface is both over-complicated and lacking in important features. The touch screen is inconsistent and the key-press acknowledgment beep is annoyingly loud. Be prepared to hear that beep over and over again, because the current and voltage measurements are inaccurate and the calibration "procedure" for those measurements involves pressing a single button hundreds of times while hoping that the machine will respond. After making my best attempt at calibration, I ran an extended low-rate discharge test on a brand new 100Ah battery bank and the machine declared it to contain 62Ah. The user manual is so poorly written and laid out that it is nearly incomprehensible. Please note that I purchased this item direct from Storage Battery Systems, not through TEquipment.net, but this is the only place I could find to leave a review (as a warning to others).
