Work Support, 1,650 lbs Capacity, 0.38" Stroke, Manifold Mount
The Enerpac WSM71 is work support with a manifold mounting style that offers a maximum support force of 1650 lbs and a stroke of 0.38". Its low-pressure lock-up capability enables the use of machine tool hydraulic systems while the high-rated support capacities allow for a more compact fixture design. It is made of corrosion-resistant materials that are compatible with most coolants and environments.
This tool has threaded and manifold air vent ports that allow fixturing that prevents coolants from being drawn into the system. It provides minimized deflection that increases machining accuracy and can be operated as an air advance by removing the spring and applying air pressure to the vent port.
The support force and clamping force must be matched. The support force should be at least 150% of the clamping force. Do not exceed maximum flow rates to avoid premature lockup. Enerpac work supports provide either additional non-fixed location points to the clamps, or support to larger or thin section workpiece components, always in order to minimize workpiece deflection during machining.
