These little alligator clips work great if you only need 14" and aren't pulling extreme currents. The leads are 20AWG just like the TL-21 mini-grabbers (same colors too). They are crimped and soldered to the clips and the insulating sleeves are pretty robust. May need to slide it up or down slightly depending on how hungry your alligator is, heh. The sleeves can be a bit slippery sometimes requiring 2 hands to open the jaws. But at 60cents each, can't really complain.

These clips are well aligned with good spring force: not to hard but not too soft. Cheaper ones often misalign the jaws, mangle your connections, or keep falling off. These seem to be just right.
