The BK Precision 9111 is a new type of power supply. Unlike conventional power supplies with fixed output ratings, it automatically recalculates voltage and current limits for each setting, providing any Volt/Amp combination within the rated power. By providing greatly expanded choices of maximum power Volt/Amp combinations, users can cut down on the number of power supplies required and free up valuable bench space.
Does the output on/off button work with the keypad lock enabled?

I have this question too (0)
Yes it does work with the lock enabled. It overrides the safety feature.

What I like; * Relatively inexpensive * Rotary encoder on main control * Compact and light * Simple to operate * Seems fairly well made * Has mA resolution on the Amps scale * Easy to adjust on the fly What I don't like; * Mine seems to like to switch from the Volts selection to the Amps selection on its own every now and then for no apparent reason, looks like a firmware bug * Though the unit is easy to operate, the interface could still be thought out a little better, don't like how the current selection is always active * Has a slow voltage ramp-up, several hundred ms, not a problem for me, but could be for some * Output is not as clean as a linear unit, advertised as a hybrid but still has a good amount of ripple, though less than a purely switching type supply. * Everything seems have a fan anymore which is always a big source of noise in a quiet work area. The fan on this one is not terribly loud and is temperature regulated, but it could stand to be more quiet In conclusion; The unit has good value. For something that can put out 180W you'd typically pay a lot more for a quality unit. Though I don't think the quality is top notch with this power supply, it is definitely better than the least expensive units which is why I went with this one over one of those. No regrets on this purchase.
