Processing and shipping by TE was very prompt. This is my first LCR Meter so, I am still learning how to use it. Mostly by testing individual components from my junk box. The meter is easy to use. My only feedback was the calibration procedure was not entirely clear, for a novice such as me, in the supplied owners manual. However, a video I found on U-Tube cleared up all my questions. I would recommend this meter to a friend.

Works well but a little rough around the edges.

Measurements are quick and repeatable. I don’t have a means of checking accuracy so I’ll refrain from comment. The 880 falls short in a couple areas. The stand isn’t sturdy and the unity falls over frequently. On battery power the unit turns off ever couple of minutes. Maybe that is adjustable but, I didn’t see it in the manual. The manual is a little weak. Overall I like it, operation is intuitive and it does what it’s supposed to do.

I waited to buy a professional LCR Meter because it's pricey - not just this one or from this manufacturer - even though it is specialised and doesn't come with calibration certifacate. But I find the device very useful in throubleshouting... It also is precise and efficient tool. I recommand this only for professionals who need the precision and an always ready tester on workbench. Cheaper devices would be more suited for occasion hobbyists. Still, I don't regret my latest addition to my lab.

BK Precision LCR 880

Good construction, so far it has been reliable. Comes with shorting plate which could be helpful. Found that I generally use the SMD tweezers mainly and only calibrate with them. Usually calibrating in open circuit provides the most accurate results (BK Precision recommends as well).

Nice feature is that the SMD tweezers edge card connector has a locking feature, which secures the card and prevents it from moving or becoming removed.

After doing extensive research this is the best LCR you can buy when you compare features vs price.

Great LCR meter. Easy to read display, nice accuracy and secondary measurement (ESR,Q etc). Had a separate meter for inductors and capacitors, should have bought this a long time ago. Comes with very nice probes for both surface mount and through hole. Highly recommended.

B&K 880, Called Tequipment sales and discussed different LCR meters. Decided on the B&K 880 because of it's accuracy and included testing probes. Also the unit has a NiMH rechargeable battery and includes the charger. Downloaded the instruction manual from the BK website. At this time I have some confusion in the setup and test frequency required for different tests. I believe that the unit will be a good asset when I learn how to use it.

BK Precision LCR 880

I haven't had a lot of time yet to really play with the meter, but it seems to be a really nice one. I haven't even tried the Kelvin clips yet. It seems to be accurate and easy to use. Lots of good information displayed, and the display is nice a clear. Only real CON that I have with it is that the back light doesn't stay on for very long. Seems like there would be an option to change this in the util menu, but I don't see one. Since it comes with a Ni-Cd or Ni-mH, you'd think they wouldn't care about how long back light is on. Anyways, otherwise its a really good meter.

I looked around at all of my options and this is one of the best there is at this price point. Very difficult to find a meter, bench even, with the wide range of test voltages this offers, especially on the lower end where you don't want to risk damaging MOS logic when testing in place.
