I have only been able to try this out in my own yard, but I have been able to find a break in an old dog fence wire, follow my main power wire to the house, and the gas line. Works very well compared to the cheaper systems that I have purchased.

the tech i spoke to said it would do what i needed when i called before i got it. it in fact did not, also didnt do what it should do with the other functions it had. although i didnt like the piece of equipment. the return and customer service were exceptional

We have 2 older camp facilities with new systems, old systems and unknown systems. Works like a champ and as described. Check was quick, shipping was quick. Love the volume and sensitivity, our soil has a heavy iron content so the discrimination circuit is awesome. The shut off feature, though simple is very effective.
