Testo 885 Series Thermal Imagers
Sensitivity, Resolution and Performance
Industrial, Commercial and Research applications are demanding work environments for any thermal imager. The 885 Series uses a fiexibly designed platform that can be vital for your application. The high sensitivity 30mK and resolution 320 x 240 make this imager extremely versatile in any inspection or research program.
With additional features like an 11o telephoto lens, objects are no longer out of reach and can be easily organized with the use of our Site Recognition barcode and database solution. Add to all of this the ability to capture Radiometric Video for detailed frame by frame post analysis and trending, the 885 Series is in a class by itself.
You can carry out completely damage-free tests on materials and components with the thermal imager testo 885-1. Thanks to the 320 x 240-pixel detector, in combination with the high-quality Germanium optics, the testo 885-1 achieves an excellent image quality. This allows weak spots and problems to be reliably detected in industrial and building thermography. In combination with the Testo SuperResolution technology, the testo 885-1 records high-resolution thermal images in excellent quality (640 x 480 pixels). This means that even the smallest or very distant measurement objects can be thermographed very precisely.
- Detector size 320 x 240 pixels: With 76.800 temperature measurement points, the measurement objects are detected in outstanding image quality, extremely clearly and precisely.
- SuperResolution technology to 640 x 480 pixels
- SuperResolution technology improves the image quality by one class, i.e. the resolution of the thermal images is four times higher.
- Flexibility thanks to rotatable handle and fold-out, rotatable display
- Thermal sensitivity < 30 mK
- Thanks to an excellent temperature resolution of < 30 mK, even the smallest temperature differences are visible.
- Large field of view thanks to 30° lens
- With the standard wide-angle lens, large image sections are immediately recognized, and the temperature distribution of the measurement object recorded at a glance.
- Panorama image assistant
- For large measurement objects, the panorama image assistant allows the analysis and documentation of a total image stitched together from many individual images. There is no need to administer, view and compare several images.
- Site Recognition Technology
- For repetitive thermography of similar measurement objects, the SiteRecognition technology offers the direct recognition, allocation and archiving of the measurement sites, as well as the automatic allocation and archiving of the the thermal images.
- High temperature up to 1200°C
- With the high temperature option, the measuring range can be flexibly extended up to 1200 °C.

Analyze large objects in a thermal image – thermography with the panorama image assistant
It is actually not possible to thermograph very large objects with one image, if one cannot move far enough away from the object. Several images are the only solution. However, in order not to have to administer, view and compare several infrared images, but to be able to analyze and document the entire object at a glance, there is now the panorama image assistant in the testo 885. It simply stitches several individual high-resolution thermal images together to one total view. Find more information on the panorama image assistant.

Thermography with automatic allocation – SiteRecognition technology
Many similar measurement objects mean many similar thermal images. Previously, in order to be able to allocate these infrared images clearly to the different measurement sites, users needed to keep complex lists, or add a voice comment to each individual thermal image. A patent-pending innovation in testo 885 now solves these problems: with Testo SiteRecognition technology, measurement sites are automatically recognized and the resulting thermal images correctly archived. This allows periodical inspection tours to be conducted efficiently. Find more information on the SiteRecognition technology.
