TPI offers a wide selection of K-type and J-type themocouple probes. Piercing solid materials or checking hard-to-reach temperature targets can be mastered with ease when you have the right probe. TPI introduces the new clamping probe that offers inspectors and technicians a consistent gripping device for checking pipes and metal coils.
TPI has three basic types of temperature probes: penetration/immersion, contact, and air. Each type comes in varied tips (see chart on left) and connector types.
K-Type: Wide temperature range used in many digital thermometers. Identified by a yellow connector.
Sub-Mini Connector: This is an industry standard connector type allowing TPI probes to be used in any thermocouple thermometer using this
type of connector. Sub-mini connectors are quick and easy to use, simply push in and out. A wide variety of economical probes are available with sub-mini
connectors, enhancing versatility and affordability of the temperature tester.
J-Type: Narrower temperature range than K-Type. Used in analog and digital thermometers. Identified by a black connector.
