Nice device but worthless software support
2.0
The actual signal generator part of this is fine. But the windows software feels like it was written by a first year engineering student. Its absolutely atrocious! No windows 8 or 10 drivers at all. Useless!
If you intend to do do any PC based control avoid this like the plague until Siglent do something about their software.

Awesom Signal Generator
5.0
I saw this generator on YouTube in operation and in person it works great. I thought the top end on this was 25Mhz but in Sine Wave mode it will go up to 50 Mhz. It has a dazzling array of functions and they are easy to use. The fan is a little noisy but it is not objectionable. It is well worth the money .

Good piece of equipment
5.0
This replaced a GWinstek SFG 1013 that was too limited. The SDG1025 gives me 80% of my testing needs. Seems to be very stable and accurate based on my test results.

Wonderfull little machine
5.0
This is a great machine. I have not owned it long enough to try out all its capability. Before retiring I worked
mainly with calibrated HP gear. This is not in that league but mighty close. THe easy of use is wonderfull. I would never be able to afford HP or Tektronic gear. When you consider the price point, max frequency etc its a bargain.

Great function Generator
5.0
Good function generator. Output is very accurate. Squarewave is stable up to 1MHz. Sinewave is OK up to 25MHz. You can't go wrong with this one.

Siglent SDG-1025
5.0
The Siglent Test equipment we have just purchased from Tequipment turned out to be much more feature rich and accurate than projected and you cant beat the price from OEM nor from Tequipment. This signal/Function Generator has features of $800.00 to $1800.00 Generators with less function.
Dealing with Tequipment has been a great experience from start to finish and my items arrived very quickly. We have placed several orders from them, since signing up in October, from test equipment to accessories.
They don't disappoint!

SDG1025 Amplitude Accuracy?
3.0
I was looking for a general purpose function generator, and selected the SDG1025 based on price vs performance. This unit works as advertised, and does all the common functions and more! Easy to use and compact on the bench.
One quibble is the amplitude accuracy. In my testing using lab grade instruments, it just barely meets the amplitude accuracy specs. Self-Cal doesn't improve it. I would rate it higher, but on-the-edge accuracy hurts it in my book.

Great gen for the price
4.0
This is a great signal generator for the price. Signals are clean and frequency is pretty solid and accurate. I'd give it 5 stars but for two things: the manual isn't very good, and it keeps asking me to pick my language every time I turn it on. Hopefully they'll fix the language selection in a future firmware and make it persistent.

This is a decent piece of equipment considering the price.
But beware potential 0 resale value - http://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/siglent-they-filed-a-'wrongful-trademark-claim'/

Great little generator.
5.0
Well, I have had this unit for a while and it has done everything I have needed. The sweep function works well for filter responce testing. The many waveforms this unit can produce along with setting an output impedance I need make it very versatile. For the price it really is a great value. Since I mostly work lower frequency I really do nont need much more. I am looking to purchase another soon. Very happy with it. Oh I have been fooling with electronics for about 50 years, still haveing fun.

Great Value Function Meter
5.0
I can't believe how much value you can get in a function meter at this price level. This much functionality (see what I did there) for such a low price was unheard of a few years ago. Minimal Instructions, but typical of Chinese equipment. No problem as it's very intuitive and there's a lot of support on the 'net. Highly recommend.

Good quality, easy to start
4.0
I am only started to use this and the user interface is fairly easy to figure out, at least the basic functions.
The unit is well built, solid, and smaller than I expected, which is good. I am giving a 4 star because I do wish I could adjust the brightness of the screen, or perhaps it is only the colors being used are not so comfortable to the eye at high brightness.

SDG1025 Review
4.0
The SDG 1025 is both versatile and cost effective, even for the hobbyist. Once I figured out how to have the display default to English, operation became straightforward. I beat the 10 MHz output against WWVH, and it was only 5 Hz off. The unit is perfect for designing op amps, finding the Effective Series Resistance of capacitors, aligning receivers, or as a poor man'sTime Domain Reflectometer. Although it is not very well shielded and only goes down to around -70 Dbm at 50 Ohms, I was able to test receiver sensitivity using external step attenuation.

While we have only just started using this product it seems to work as advertised and has been fairly intuitive to learn. My only wish is that the software package gave more editing capability for the waveform generator.

A learning experience
5.0
Everything about this unit is exceptional from the hushed quiet of the fan to the technology involved.
The size makes it fit anywhere on the bench. The push buttons are a light touch so the unit doesn't move when making any selections.
I've been in electronics for 40 years and am still keeping busy learning what this device has to offer.
The price is also very affordable.

Great device for the price
4.0
This was my first digital waveform generator. I was looking for something affordable that I can use from home for hobby purposes.
All-in-all the device is pretty straight forward though I had to wait for over a month and a half for it to be shipped due to a backup at the manufacturer.
When I first went to test the device I also got hung up for awhile due to ch1/ch2 being reversed. I thought it didn't work as I didn't see any output on my OScope, but then after I realized my mistake it worked great with little to no noise variation.

Well built, very capable instrument
5.0
This is my first waveform generator, so I was looking for something with decent specs and that was affordable. The Siglent is nicely made, compact and relatively intuitive to use. I've not really had to refer to the manual yet and have been able to quickly get familiar with the instrument. One odd thing is that the Ch1 and Ch2 outputs are reversed compared to every other instrument I've used (Ch1 on the right, Ch2 on the left). That had me stumped for a few minutes, since I never looked at the labeling on the unit.
The controls are decent, although it would be nice if when using the rotary dial the units would change (e.g. if you go down to 1 KHz, rotating left does not automatically switch to Hz). To do that, you need to use the keypad to type in a value and select the units.
The screen is small, but quite clear and easy to read. I don't have any equipment to be able to test accuracy, but what's set on the instrument reads the same on my scope and on my multimeter, so I'm fairly confident that the accuracy is good enough for my needs.
The modulation functions are decent, but I'm surprised there's no Sum modulation, which would seem to be straightforward to add through a firmware upgrade.
All in all, I'm pleased with the unit and the price I paid for it.

OK for basic work
4.0
If you're not looking to do high precision work this is a decent generator. It takes some time to get used to the UI and the backwards placement of CH2/CH1 output BNC's but I find it mostly bug free (firmware version: 1.01.01.31R1). Boot up time is fast (8 seconds) and fan noise is moderate (although a bit too much for my tastes).
Accuracy of the internal oscillator is within spec but it's easy to use an external 10Mhz clock. The other back panel i/o connections also work as intended once your understand the not-so-obvious way to use them (options that need to be set in the UI).
Arb functionality is limited due the number of data points allowed, however it is useful in creating complex pulse patterns to simulate an ASK signal for example. The Sweep, Burst, and Mod functionality is pretty flexible and very useful. The frequency counter is not flexible nor very useful, but works as intended.
Overall a good entry level generator at a reasonable price.

Still on the fence on this one...
3.0
Ok, it does what it is supposed to to. UI is not too bad to move around in.
Got to check mine a bit more. Chan 2 had quite a bit of jitter with a square wave...channel 1 was perfect...
May contact Tequipent guys here to see if they have heard of this before.
Tequipment Response: Hello. We talked to the factory. We want to fix this unit. This is normally not an issue. We will email you regarding this now.
