1900 Flow Computer Use with Laminar Flow Elements, Accutube averaging pitot tubes, Orifice Plates, Venturis, Vortex, Turbines or other flow meters
Accutube averaging pitot tubes are primary flow elements that develop a differential pressure in response to the flow rate through a pipe or duct. These square root type elements are excellent for measuring the flow rate of gases, steam and liquids. Chief advantages over other flow elements include relatively low purchase price, low installation cost, and low permanent pressure loss (equates to low operating costs).
General purpose Accutubes include inline styles for pipe sizes 1/2" through 3", threaded insertion styles for 1" through 72" pipes and flange insertion styles for 2" through 72" pipes. Larger pipe sizes (up to 20 feet) are available for special applications. Standard wetted parts material include CS, brass and 316LSS but many other materials are available as specials.
