Chevron-Texaco Passes Savings on to Consumers:

Chevron relies on different machinery and techniques to keep the oil flowing and their prices down. Horsehead pumps are used to extract oil from land based reserves when there is not enough pressure to drive the oil to the surface, and are an important part of the machinery at on-land oil fields. Efficient horsehead pump operation results in lower oil extraction costs, and lower costs for consumers.

The pumps are usually located in remote areas, and do not receive constant attention from an operator. A thermal scan can help compensate for this. When problems are anticipated, the company saves valuable time and money by avoiding unexpected repairs and downtime.

Scans conducted by an operator with extensive knowledge of oil equipment also help to find and eliminate the root causes of a failure, so that they can be prevented in the future. IR allows Chevron to keep their equipment performing as needed, when needed, and their product on time, every time.
