FLIR E5: Good Resolution: 120 × 90
 E5_Comparison_1 E5_Comparison_2

If you need more resolution, E5 offers more than twice as many infrared detector pixels (10,800) as E4 for improved thermal image clarity. Plus E5 provides increased sensitivity to help bring out slightly finer temperature differences. E5 also offers an area box measurement tool with max/min temperature markers in addition to the center spot.

FLIR E6: Better Resolution: 160 × 120

If you need even higher resolution and more measurement modes, E6 provides 19,200 pixels plus increased sensitivity at <0.06°C. In addition to the automatic hot/cold markers of E5, E6 also offers P-i-P and isotherm color alarms in the form of blue highlighted areas for those below a set temperature and red when above.

FLIR E8: Best Resolution: 320 × 240

The E8 provides a major jump in thermal imaging resolution with 76,800 pixels — 4 times as many as the E6. The E8's 320 × 240 detector gives you excellent thermal image clarity and puts more temperature measurement spots on the object you're targeting, allowing you to either inspect ever smaller components from the same distance or the same target from farther away, to help facilitate greater safety benefits and convenience.
