The
Fieldpiece ADMN2 is a portable dual port manometer accessory head for use with our modular multimeters (DMMs) and instruments. Measures gas pressure, static pressure and pressure differential. The ADMN2 includes a zero adjust and the Auto Power-Off (APO) function to conserve battery life. Disable APO for data logging. The ADMN2 measures pressure between -60inWC and 60inWC (inches of water column) and -150.0 to 150.0 mBar. The ADMN2 also measures P1 or P2 pressure readings and calculates the difference between P1 and P2. Take static pressure measurements using the resolution mode of 0.01inWC or 0.01mBar.
The modular design of the ADMN2 gives it a distinct advantage over other dual-port manometers in the field. Remoting the ADMN2 with our detachable test leads allows you to measure pressure in hard to reach places. The included 3/16” to 5/16” adapters allow you to measure gas pressure on more makes and models of gas appliances as well.
Use the Fieldpiece ADMN2 to measure gas pressure, static pressure and pressure differential. The User should simply connect to COM and Volts jacks on your meter using any Fieldpiece test leads with removable probe tips. For Fieldpiece “stick-style” meters, adapters and handles, slide the head directly onto the unit. Select the mVDC range on your meter and Remove the rubber strip on the face of the Fieldpiece ADMN2 to access the ZERO button. Press the ZERO button while the tubes are disconnected to calibrate the meter to ambient pressure. Then use the meter as you wish to perform the following tasks:
- Connect a single hose to get the gauge pressure relative to the ambient or ZERO pressure
- Connect both hoses if you want to see relative pressure, P1 minus P2. Select P1, P2, or P1 - P2
Field Pressure Calibration
Press and hold the ZERO Set button on the face of the Fieldpiece AMN2. Disconnect the hose from the pressure port to properly calibrate to ambient pressure. To take static pressure measurements quickly across a blower as in the diagram example, press ZERO Set button while the user is connected to the pressure source before the blower then connect to the pressure source after the blower and take the reading.
Resolution Modes (0.1 and 0.01)
There are two modes of resolution on the Fieldpiece AMN2. The 0.1 mode of the Fieldpiece AMN2 is useful for most applications. When measuring low pressures, 0.01 will likely be the best mode for meaningful testing. The most common circumstance for 0.01 mode is measuring static pressure across a blower. Only when using 0.01 mode, the display of your meter will show the true measurement X 10. So if the true measurement is -0.02, your meter will show -0.2.
