This meter is solidly built and works as advertised. It would be nice, however, if it was compatible with the rechargeable battery pack that FLIR sells. The AAA batteries seem to last ok, and changing them is not as time consuming as on the DM284 so I am not complaining. This is my second FLIR product, and I am very happy with the features and quality. I will continue to buy FLIR products in the future.

Very nice all in one Meter/Flir. I will be using it for Industrial maintenance troubleshooting and repair. The motor inrush feature is awesome, the Flir image is great for finding loose wiring, and current draw issues. and the DC clamp is a real nice feature for checking control circuit issues. I used to carry 3 different tools to do what this one meter now does. The flir image is NOT very detailed, merely an indicator. If you want a good Flir image Buy a dedicated Flir camera (I love my E8). But whenever troubleshooting motors, control circuitry, or a current problem, this Meter is Great. Really saves time in locating problems. Makes a great Electricians helper.
