Description
The SAT 9520 measures the quality of satellite signals from the antenna dish to the customer's set top IRD. It is compact, field portable and very easy to use, making it the ideal test instrument for the satellite installer. The 9520 is an alternative to expensive, bulky spectrum analyzers. Since it displays actual signal level, there is no need to calculate resolution bandwidth corrections. It also displays IRD value, C/N and BER. The BER test detects problems that remain hidden when viewed on the analyzer screen. The BER measurement provides the installer with a high level of confidence by quantifying system margin or weather resistance.
Applications
Site surveys
Single family installations
Multiple dwelling unit system installations and alignments
